Hamish Fulton
RESTRAINT
November 07 – December 19, 2026

Opening reception will be held on Saturday, November 7 from 12-3pm

Irreversible extinction is caused by lack of habitat
Climate change is caused by excessive human activity,
which I inescapably contribute to.
Question: What can we mechanistic humans offer nature?
One answer: Respect…Restraint…Not more theft.

A wind blows through the pine trees…
And our minds could be changed for ever.

From the leaflet Nature & Walking, Hamish Fulton, Galerie Stadtpark, Krems 2026

The artworks in the exhibition comprise wallpaintings, mixed media works on paper, wood reliefs, archival digital prints, and a vintage photo/text work.
They relate to several different walks – among them recent walks in the Finse region of Hardangervidda and the Bergen region of Norway.
