Lisa Tan

Lisa Tan (born 1973, Syracuse, NY, USA) lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. She received an MFA from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and a PhD from the University of Gothenburg, Valand Academy. She is currently a guest professor in Fine Art at The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. Tan works mostly in video, photography and installation. She engages various literary, historical and personal references to explore the intricate relationship between language, image, and experience.
